Hesed For The Nations Ministry and our collaborating partners are focused on advancing the kingdom of King Jesus here on earth through evangelism and discipleship efforts, as well as in helping those who need help the most. We walk with the Lord to reach those who are forgotten and help them take their place at the table of the King as sons and daughters. We work by revelation of the Holy Spirit and by assignment from the Lord.
Our Beginnings
Hesed For The Nation Ministry was initially called Hesed En Accion (Hesed In Action) and was mostly focused on work in the Dominican Republic. As the Lord as expanded the ministry's geographical scope, it's name was changed to Hesed For The Nations.
Hesed Story
To God be all the glory. Our first assignment was in 2002, when Pastor Lisset Melendez (Dayen) received a visit from Pastor Luis Rodriguez, the lead pastor of Centro de Restauracion Nuevo Futuro, a home for addicts in her hometown of Bonao, Dom. Rep. She had purchased a mountain property from some relatives where where mother was born in the Mountain of El Candongo, Bonao, Dom. Rep. and had begun to grow crops to bring to the elderly homes and other institutions.
During that time she employed a distant cousin, whose name was Ruben, to bring cacao to the local instructions such as the orphanages, elderly homes and homes for addicts to help with their food security. She had asked her coursing Ruben to bring cacao donations to the ministry Nuevo Futuro on an anonymous basis, but pastor Luis insisted in meeting her. That meeting turned into a life changing event which served as a catalyst to her work supporting the work of the Lord with recovery ministries.
That work inspired her to consecrate the mountain's property to serve as a place of healing and restoration, and the work there brought about the birth of her ministry. As the Lord showed her His purpose for her ministry work the Lord assigned her and anointed her as minister, shield-bearer, intercessor, evangelist, prophet, bible study teacher and pastor. These assignments are a great focus of Hesed ministry work. From the beginning Hesed ministry has been a ministry of one staff (pastor Lisset Melendez Dayen) and many collaborators. Unity amongst the body of Christ, hesed love for those who are in most need and love between brothers and sisters in Christ has also played a crucial part in the Lord’s work of this His ministry, which has expanded from one to 18 nations and which is now called Hesed For The Nations.
The initial focus was to support the work of the Lord at that a ministry for restoration. After seeing the need of the people in the nation of the Dominican Republic was bigger than what the three christian home for addicts could meet, she began a period of intercession, crying to Father God in the Spirit to open new homes for addicts in her hometown and in the nations.
A few months later, the Lord assigned evangelist Carlos Mendes, then the lead evangelist for the ministry Nuevo Futurp to open a new home for addicts and sent him to pastor Dayen home with a message from the Lord that she was to provide assistance to plant that ministry. As then evangelist, Carlos Mendes, spoke those words the power of God hit Pastor Dayen, confirming the assignment to her.
It was to be the first of many short-term assignments which were always focused on providing assistance to servants who were either starting a new ministry or expanding the work of the Lord in their ministry. Within four months of helping to plant that ministry they did not need our help. We joyfully watched them successfully establish relationships with local merchants and churches which has lasted to this day.

"Help this ministry to stand up. Help until it can remain standing on it's own".
