Peace and grace from the Lord brothers and sisters.  This is Pastor Dayen Lisset Melendez, founder and director of Hesed For The Nations Ministries.  Hesed For The Nations ministry has been assigned by the Holy Spirit to provide ministerial support to Centro Cristiano Apostolico Kairos, Venezuela, a ministry under the leadership of Apostle Jefry Julio. Kairos ministry is a union of poor ministries which have been doing the work of the Lord with limited resources for over  twenty years in Venezuela.   They do not have any sources of funding outside of the regular tithes and offerings from the members of the congregation.  They also lack a public social platform such as Facebook.

Immediately after the  earthquake Kairos ministry activated emergency relief efforts - such as to establish a temporary shelter in a local parking lot.  One aspect of their work has been to pick up children who became orphaned during the earthquakes and were roaming the streets without supervision.  Some of those children were already abused by evil people in their community.  Karios ministry has also been providing food, clothing, etcetera to those in need, as they are able to.

Kairos ministry is a  25 “church” ministry without a home church, as the Lord had them for over twenty years ministering as a “backyard and home church” network.   A strong focus of their work for the Lord has been to reach the unreached and the  undesirables.

The ministry has never had an external source of funding.

The Kairos team is currently setting up a "Campamento de Esperanza" (Hope Camp).

 

Some of the immediate focus of Kairos ministry work:  

 

1. To rescue and provide a safe place for children who became orphaned during the two earthquakes and are found wandering the streets alone.  Some of those children were already abused by evil people in their surroundings.

1. Operation Hesed RESCATE: Pastors and their families are stranded at their campo santo ministry (established 7 months ago there) in need of evacuation to Kairos territory in Caracas where they can be assisted.  As of yesterday Kairo's ministry was unable to activate a rescue mission for their pastors and pastoral families in la Guaira due to lack of $500-$1,000 USD to hire a bus to pick them up. 

 

Kairos ministry lacks appropriate internet to communicate efficiently with other members of their team and to potential sources of funding. 

 

I am enclosing here the last message we received from their executive director which explains the evacuation needs:

 

“URGENT: Activation of the Rescue and Evacuation Commission for Pastors and Ministers in La Guaira (Collapsed Structures) 

 

Dear Minister, 

 

I am writing to you with profound urgency and helplessness regarding the critical situation being reported by our contacts in La Guaira state. At this moment, several local pastors and ministers are trapped at the disaster sites, remaining beside the collapsed structures in a painful wait, as their immediate family members are trapped beneath the rubble. 

 

We urgently require the following with the highest priority: 

 

Activation of Search and Rescue Units (K-9 / Civil Protection): Immediate deployment of specialized teams equipped with cutting and debris removal tools to the specific locations to locate the trapped individuals. 

 

Evacuation and Emergency Support Plan: Deploy logistical support to extract these leaders and the survivors who are rescued from the danger zone, providing them with safe transportation and immediate medical and psychological care. 

 

As Kairos Ministry, together with our national support network, we are ready to coordinate post-evacuation assistance (food and temporary shelter), but we urgently require the intervention of state authorities to carry out the technical rescue operations before it is too late. 

 

I await your confirmation so I can send you the exact coordinates and the names of the ministers affected on the ground. Every minute counts in saving these lives.
